Assessment of Performance of Non Governmental Organizations in Population Welfare Programme

National Institute of Population Studies (NIPS) has assessed the performance of 251 NGOs with the objective to single out those NGOs, which have sustained their activities inspite of no financial support from NATPOW in the past, as well as those NGOs whose organizational setup and performance warrant funding. The researchers undertook the field visits during September - October 2001, and collected the required information of NGOs.

Evaluation of Communication Component of Population Welfare Programme of Pakistan

National institute of Population Studies, in response to an urgent request from Population Welfare Division attempted to undertake the evaluation of the population Information, Education and Communication (IEC) component which are an integral part of Population Welfare Programme. The purpose of this study was to analyze the various activities and their impact on the target group, as envisaged by the Programme.

An Assessment of Management Capabilities and Performance of NGOs Registered with NGOs' Coordinating Council in Population Welfare Programme in Pakistan

National Institute of Population Studies (NIPS) undertook detailed evaluation of the Population Welfare Activities of those Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) which were registered with the Non-Governmental Organizations Coordination Council (NGO-CC). The study is based on an extensive field survey conducted in October and November, 1987, using three different survey modules, which covered 38 NGOs, 53 NGO service centers and a sample of about 1,600 households selected from the impact areas of the 12 NGO centers.
