The State of Population in Pakistan: Its Implications for Socio-Economic Development of the Country

In this paper an attempt is made to highlight various aspects of Pakistan population in relation to demand and supply of natural and physical resources, various aspects of environment related to population, resources and development and the interrelationship of these variables to the extent permitted by the available and accessible data. The paper discusses the population of Pakistan as a basic resource for development as well as ultimate objective of all development activity.
