Evaluation of Family Welfare Centres - An Assessment of the Quality of Services and Situation Analysis

The purpose of this research study was to know the strengths and weaknesses of Family Welfare Centres (FWCs) in providing Family Planning/Reproductive Health services in Pakistan. The FWC is a core component of Pakistan's Population Welfare Program. This study was carried out in 1998-99. The main objectives of the study were: (i) to undertake situation analysis of the Family Welfare Centres, (ii) to assess the quality of services available at centers; (iii) to ascertain choice and preferences of clients for contraceptive methods and change in their choices and reasons for dropouts of clients.
